What is Aricept used for?

Aricept is a once-a-day drug for Alzheimer's. It has been shown to help persons with Alzheimer's keep their memory longer.
It is used to help Memory and thinking, as well as, everyday activities.

 

Who should not take Aricept?

The medication should not be used during pregnancy. Those in danger for ulcers should tell their doctors.

What should I tell my health care provider?

Tell your health care provider if you:

  • Pregnant or suspect you may be.
  • persons who are in danger for ulcers should tell their doctors because their condition may get worse.

What are some possible side effects of Aricept?

  • Possible Effects include: nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, vomiting, muscle cramp, fatigue and anorexia.
